Like many of you, I used to smoke using bowls and rolling my weed into blunts. I don’t recommend anyone to smoke and drive, whether it’s at the same time or you smoke and then get into your car. But I do it all the time, and it honestly would not be possible without the dry herb vape pen. Of course I would have to pre-break some weed which is not hard to at all if you have a grinder. This is something that is super cool to do as long as you know what you’re doing, and you’re not at risk of falling off your surfboard and drowning in the process (fingers crossed). Although the pens aren’t built to be fully submersible in water, getting a few droplets on it won’t hurt. Regardless of whether or not you decide to take it into the water with you, smoking in the sand on the beach is one of my favorite activities. Whenever I visit California, I’m doing this on a daily basis. There is plenty of wind on the beach, and the only way you can block the wind is if you have enough friends form a circle around you while you light the blunt. Forget it, just use the vaporizer, life is that much easier.

When I was a teenager, one of the places that I loved to smoke were on roof tops, being that I grew up in New York City. A lot of people smoked on the streets, most of the time, you’ll be fine, but if you want some privacy just between you and your friends while you sesh, a rooftop is nice place to smoke. Rooftops are usually windy, but hey, windproof smoking right? You got it! Nowadays, I spend less time just being on any rooftop but more on private rooftop parties where I smoke away without a care in the world! Get my drink on and my smoke on.

Rolling Weed? Fuggedaboutit

I was never really good at rolling blunts and quite frankly, I hate doing it. First of all, having to go to the store just go get a Dutch Master is also work which I don’t like doing and wish I didn’t have to do. Anyway, upon getting my Dutch Master, I have to gut the thing. We don’t have to use Dutch Masters, especially since they weren’t intended to be for rolling weed with anyway, but they’re cheaper cigars and people have found other uses for it. It is actually quite some work just to gut the cigar, take everything out of it, and keeping only the skin of the cigar.

Then after you’ve broken up your weed and separated the wrap from the rest of the cigar, you then have to roll your blunt. This could go down in so many different ways and everybody rolls differently. That means you could end up with a super loose blunt, a tight one, one where you can get a good hit off of, and more. Not to mention, if you’re smoking and you didn’t roll the blunt, that means you’ll be mouthing someone else’s saliva, which is pretty disgusting even if you’re a close friend with whoever did the rolling.

Another thing that people tend to forget about is that whenever you roll your weed, you are smoking whatever you roll your weed with. If you roll it with paper, you’re smoking paper. Would you ever smoke paper otherwise? Probably not, I know I wouldn’t. So when your weed is burning inside the vaporizer’s heating chamber, a coil heats up and burns the weed. It works similarly to how those new stoves work where the metal plate heats up and there is no actual fire. This is as clean a smoke as you will ever get and after each smoke, all you have to do is clean the coil and chamber.

Also, as I’ve mentioned earlier, rather than having a blunt that comes out different every time, my smoking sessions are pretty consistent throughout and the only thing that varies is the strain of marijuana that I use to smoke. The mouth piece on most herbal vaporizers make it so that it’s easy for you to lip it and inhale. Since most of the mouth pieces are made of plastic or rubber, it’s easy to clean it off and smoke. Some of you might have had a similar experience with a blunt where the part where you inhale gets super soaked and it’s disgusting. You constantly have to rip it off all the way until you’re at the part of the blunt where the weed is held. Then you have no choice but to share saliva.

I Smell Like Weed, Oh No!

Hate smelling like weed? I know I do. It’s not attractive and when you need to be somewhere, you definitely shouldn’t smell like weed. Some people get around this by carrying a fragrance spray with them (which is annoying, unless you live in a state where all you do is drive — then you could keep a perfume or cologne in your car). If you live in the city like I do where you take a lot of public transportation, I wouldn’t carry a bottle of fragrance with me.

Whenever I have smoked weed, I have smelled like weed, and often it would go away fairly quickly. However, if I carry pre-rolled blunts on me and a used marijuana bowl, I will ALWAYS smell like weed. For pre-rolled blunts, it’s a given, unless you have a really good container which could seal away the smell. The bowl is a problem for me as it is hard to clean the bowl on the go. So once you’ve used the bowl once in the day, if you have it on you, you will smell like weed.

When you use a dry herb vaporizer, the weed smell doesn’t stick around long especially considering the combustion of the marijuana is in a closed off tank. That means it will stick to your clothes less (even though the smell of weed doesn’t stick for that long). So if you smoke indoors, the smell would be minimized. If you carry your vaporizer around with you after you’ve finished smoking, you still will not smell like weed.

Sometimes when you smoke your blunt, and you don’t finish it, you want to save the rest of the blunt of course. You will definitely smell like weed after that even if you put the clip in a Ziploc bag or whatever you choose to put it in. With a vaporizer, I could take a few hits, turn the pen off and put it away to smoke later.

As I’ve mentioned, I grew up in New York City so everything is fast paced here. That doesn’t mean that all of us are about the same lifestyle of trying to get things done fast.
