A lot of people debate between these two powerhouses when it comes to purchasing a dry herb vaporizer. First of all, they are both great vaporizers that will be of much convenience to you if you smoke herbs. They both work similarly with a heating chamber and an atomizer coil. So let us compare the two vaporizers more in depth.
Atmos Raw
The Atmos RX is a high quality vaporizer as are all Atmos vaporizers. The pen is made with stainless steel and you actually feel from the weight of the pen that it is sturdy and tough stuff. The reason why it’s colored and you are able to choose from a variety of 5 colors is because the vaporizer is coated with a silicone/rubber textured skin. It is almost like a smartphone case. This helps to protect the pen and also makes it comfortable for it’s user to hold. The mouth piece is also a silicone and soft textured piece which is comfortable on the lips. In terms of cosmetics, it is a very neat pen that both very attractive and feels great to use.
The Atmos vaporizer takes about 3 hours to fully charge, and sporting a high capacity battery means that it packs a lot of juice. The manufacturers state that the battery life of the Atmos Raw will last up to about 72 hours of usage. So if you smoke frequently, one charge can last you your entire hiking trip and more.
The Atmos Raw burns herbs efficiently and does a very good job at keeping the combustion smell within the pen. Nothing really escapes from the heating chamber. I have personally used my Atmos Raw for over half a year and haven’t had to replace any parts on it even after heavy usage. Parts do not break easy on this vaporizer.
Snoop Dogg G Pen
The G Pen is generally priced lower than the Atmos Raw and the pen is predominantly plastic. Being plastic has it’s benefits too, making the pen a very lightweight one. The Snoop Dogg G Pen is slightly thinner and a tad bit longer as well, it could be easier to hold for some users.
This herbal vaporizer is also a very attractive one with a road map on a navy blue canvas imprinted all around the pen. The mouth piece is also a hard plastic with a rectangular shaped opening for you to inhale from.
You may use this pen for up to 14 hours and that too is a pretty powerful battery for a small sized portable vaporizer. Similarly to the Atmos Raw, this vaporizer turns off when not in use and only heats up when you press the power button.
The coil is built similarly to the Atmos Raw one, except the tank is glass rather than stainless steel. The glass tank is very fragile and can easily be shattered if dropped. The glass tank of course can be easily replaced alongside the coil which you can purchase for fairly cheap.
What I do like about the Snoop Dogg G Pen kit is that it comes with additional accessories that most vaporizers do not come with. That includes a grinder card which you can actually use to grind up nugs. Although the grinder card may be a bit impractical, it could come handy in times of desperate need. The G Pen also includes two glass containers for you to store herbs and keep the smell of the herbs hidden. Yes, that’s right, you get TWO of these awesome little glass containers in one kit.
Comparison
Both pens work similarly and will vaporize your herbs, cannabis, marijuana, or whatever you want to call it just as well as the other. They are both very portable and can easily be stashed away into your pockets or book bag. Each sporting a battery life that will last you an entire trip before you get back to the hotel or home.
The advantage that the Atmos Raw has over the Snoop Dogg G Pen is the full stainless steel interior and the less fragile heating tank.
The advantage that the Snoop Dogg G Pen has is the price and the additional accessories that it comes with.
